Henri Chenot developed his method over some 50 years. He combined ideas from Chinese medicine with Western biology and medicine. The result is a fixed programme offered today in its own houses and in selected spas.
A programme begins with diagnostics, for example of body composition, vessels and metabolism. During the week you eat according to the Chenot diet, plant-based and low in calories. Daily treatments such as hydrotherapy, herbal wraps and massages along the energy meridians come on top.
Chenot is consistent. Whoever comes follows a dense plan and eats what is on the programme. In return, many feel the effect clearly after a week.
Good to know
- The programme is strict: no alcohol, no coffee, a fixed diet.
- Plan the full week; shorter stays bring much less.
- Partners without a programme are welcome, but eat differently.

What do you eat on Chenot?
A light, mostly plant-based diet low in calories, without animal protein, coffee and alcohol. The dishes are carefully cooked, but small.
Is Chenot the same as a Mayr cure?
No. Both relieve the digestion, but Chenot works with a fixed one-week programme and many treatments, Mayr with slow eating and abdominal treatment over a longer time.
